Volunteer to Make a Memorial Quilt
What You Can Expect from SJSA:
We will be respectful of your time and talent.
We will call upon you as organizational needs require.
We will provide support while you are working on SJSA projects.
What SJSA Expects from Volunteers:
We expect that you will be patient with our team.
We expect that you will act in accordance with our core values.
We expect that you will educate yourself about the issues that we are working on. If you are looking for a place to start, here is our Anti-Racist Guidebook (link to anti-racist guidebook).
We expect that you will maintain open communication with us in the event that you can not meet your commitments.
Things to Know About This Project:
After completing the form at the link below, a member of the SJSA team will contact you to follow up on your preference for working with photos (to be printed onto fabric via Spoonflower or home printer) and/or clothing items (jeans, t-shirts, jackets, etc.) hand-selected by the honoree’s family.
Based on your preference, you will receive information on the honoree that you have been assigned.
Quilts are to be completed within 90 days, however please communicate with the SJSA team if circumstances arise that prevent such from happening.
If that sounds like something you can commit to, please complete the volunteer form here.
